ADDMISSION 

For admission into Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), aspiring students need to appear for and qualify the Eklavya Model Residential School Selection Test (EMRSST) for Class VI. Students who pass Class X in CBSE/State Board are automatically admitted to Class XI in the same EMRS.

Entrance Test:

Admission to Class VI is based solely on the EMRSS Selection Test (EMRSST). 

Eligibility: [2]

• Candidates must be studying in Class V in a recognized school in the preceding academic year. [2]

• They must have passed Class III, IV, and V from Government/Government-Aided/recognized schools in the preceding three continuous academic sessions. 

• Candidates must be between 9 and 11 years old on May 1st of the year of admission. 

Automatic Admission to Class XI:

Students who pass Class X from CBSE/State Board are automatically admitted to Class XI in the same EMRS. 

EMRSST 2025-26

- The admission guidelines for academic year 2025-26 for Class VI are available. 

NESTS

- The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) is an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to plan, construct, establish, review/ monitor and advise the State/ UT EMRS Societies to administer EMRSs.
